New England Rounds
Rounds are not perfectly round in shape ,but rather have a convex shape to the face of the stone and which best mimics the look of an old farm wall.
Mosaic Stone
These irregularly shapes stones are distinct in that the sides are angular and the faces are flat enabling the mason to create a uniform flat surface.
Ledgestone
The classic stacked stone look, long and horizontal.
New England fieldstone and the walls that have made them literally part of the fabric of where we live. Because of this we employ these practices when harvesting this historic stone.
Wall Stone
Hand-picked loading
We package the stone two ways:
Our process starts with hand picking the stone at the wall and piling into a bucket. The bucket is transported to the container and the machine drives into the container and dumps the bucket. Once the container is full it is transported to the site and carefully slid out. We have found that by not dumping the stones from a loader down into a dump truck there is much less damage and marring from transportation.
